Spain’s football captain, Álvaro Morata, has agreed to give half of his earnings to his ex-wife, Alice Campello, after they ended their eight-year marriage. The couple, who have four children, shocked fans when they announced their split earlier this year, as many believed their marriage was still strong.
Recently, Morata spoke openly about the divorce in an interview on ‘D Corazón’ with journalist Javier de Hoyos. He firmly denied rumors that he cheated on Campello, saying, “I’m devastated, but I swear that I never cheated on her.” He explained that the accusations were false and hurtful.
Morata also shared that he tried to avoid situations that might spark these rumors, even skipping events with the national team. He emphasized that Campello is still very important to him and that he avoided public events to prevent misunderstandings.
The footballer made it clear that there is no chance of getting back together, blaming the breakup on the stress caused by his career. His frequent moves between clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, Atlético Madrid, and now AC Milan made life difficult for their family. Morata said that while Alice wanted to stay in Spain, he had to keep moving for his career. Despite this, they remain on good terms to ensure the well-being of their four children.
