A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck near San Francisco on Friday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), as reported by The New York Times.
The earthquake occurred at 7:02 a.m. Pacific Time, approximately three miles northwest of the San Francisco Zoo, The New York Times reported. Although the tremor was categorized as “minor,” it produced a shake intensity of 3 or greater, which the USGS defines as “weak.” The affected area, however, may extend beyond the initially identified regions.
